Participants on the Mercosur markets said that they expect polypropylene to be cheaper in August. According to a regional trader, the anticipated PP price decline could be due to lower demand in Asia and lower freight rates. Polypropylene homopolymer pricing was $1,320/mt CFR MERCOSUR, while spot copolymer PP was $1,390/mt. Both were stable for the past week.
