ACETONE/PHENOL - The FD Northwest Europe acetone price
was Eur1,270/mt on April 25, unchanged from the previous week. This is within a
producer’s range of Eur1,150-1300/mt. According to one market participant, despite limited supply,
acetone demand was strong, and phenol producers were running at lower rates. The premium of benzene to phenol in Europe is stable,
week-on-week, at Eur530/mt NWE. This price remains unchanged, pending
confirmation. According to a producer, the
demand for phenol is improving. The supply
was limited due to lower production rates. The phenol price for the outright was Eur5/mt lower than
