The European Propylene Industry-Settled
Contract Price for May was at EUR1,130/mt, down EUR15/mt compared to
April. Market sources reported May 2. Market conditions were not significantly changed
by the settlement, which was driven by the stability of average naphtha prices
in April. The price of European naphtha in April stood at $676.33/mt CIF NWE, a
slight increase from $674.79/mt during March. "Times
aren't so good," said a propylene user, adding that demand across the
board is low. We are at technical minimums, and we don't see any signs of
