The European demand for higher grades of
naphtha has caused a rise in flows to the US Gulf Coast, according to sources. Cracks were also rising on other products like
gasoline according to sources. April/May CIF Naphtha Swap Spread
was down 25c/mt to $10/mt while May/June was higher at 25c/mt to $8/mt.
May/June's front-month East West spread -- the spread between CIF NWE naphtha
cargo swaps and CFR Japan naphtha cargo swaps -- was down 50c/mt to minus
3.50/mt while May was down 1 cent/mt (minus $1/mt). The European crack was down
35 cents/b, or minus 3.85/b
