Local China increases Yuan 100/mt / Import demand in Asia is declining

On April 18, Asian butadiene was stable from day to day at $1.450/mt FOB China and $1.500/mt for Northeast Asia. In the week that began April 15, trading sources reported on two deals FOB China, at $1.440/mt or $1.450/mt. This was higher than the current assessment of $1.430/mt. Some market participants questioned whether such deals could be repeated, citing a fading demand for NE Asia. On April 18, a spot shipment was offered FOB China with immediate loading from late April to early May. The cargo was never sold on April 18.
