The Asian butadiene markets are likely to
remain negative in the week ending May 8, due to ample supplies after a steep
decline of $60-$70/mt per day in May 5. The price of CFR China butadiene remained stable
on May 8 at $970-985/mt, despite a sharp decline in prices from May 5. The local
China market, however, was also under pressure due to the recent weakening of
the CFR China butadiene markets. According to trade sources, China's
main supplier Sinopec cut its local list prices by Yuan 600/mt between May 5
and Yuan 8,400/mt on May 8. According to trade sources, the
local China butadiene prices fell by Yuan 400/mt between May 5 and Yuan
8,200/mt, or $1,028/mt...
