Asian LLDPE: Prices stable on thin trading activity / Sufficient inventory levels in Southeast Asia / Chinese futures drop

The Asian linear low density polyethylene market was mutedin the week to Sept. 11, with prices remaining stable on the week.LLDPE film unchanged on the week at $925/mt CFR Far East Asia and $970/mt CFR Southeast Asia.In China, a few offers were heard across the week and tradingwas thin due to continued weak demand and buying appetite. "Demand is low, Chinese futures are still down these days andthe oil market is also slow," a trader said.The most actively traded January 2025 futures on the DalianCommodity Exchange fell Yuan 5/mt on the day to Yuan 7,931/mtex-tank on Sept. 11.At 2:17 pm Singapore time (0617 GMT) on Sept. 11, the ICENovember Brent futures contract was at $69.81/b, up 62 cents/b(0.90%) from the previous close.
