assessment of Asia LLDPE during the week ending June 7. CFR South Asia's marker is
down $30/mt from the previous week to $980/mt, due to weak demand. The slowdown in China, the leading polymer market in Asia,
has caused concern about each country's polymer markets. Sources said that countries like India, who had pinned their
hopes on China's improvement, became nervous and this led to a slowdown in
buying. Market sources reported that some
polymer plants in Asia had reduced their operating rates. Traders said that market participants believe polyethylene
