Asian LLDPE: Stable amid muted Trade / China's market is muted because of holidays / Southeast Asia Demand Picks Up - Oct 04, 2024

In a week of low activity, prices remained stable on the linear low density Polyethylene market. LLDPE film CFR Southeast Asia was unchanged at $970/mt, while CFR Fareast Asia remained at $935/mt. Demand was increasing in Southeast Asia as consumers began to purchase for the end of year festivities and agricultural season. This hasn't yet translated into a price increase. Due to the Golden Week holiday, which runs from October 1-7, there was a quiet market in China. After the Golden Week holidays, market participants will be looking for more clarity on pricing.
