week ending March 22nd saw a steady decline in Asian linear low-density
polyethylene prices. Southeast Asia's demand was weak before
Ramadan. Sources said that raw material naphtha was down 10.8% annually,
while feedstock ethylene prices fell 14.7%. PE prices dropped on average 6.9%
because of weak consumer spending. Sources said that PE prices dropped
because of weak demand in an uncertain economy. Sources said that Chinese
factories were relying on domestic demand to drive the second half 2023, and not
exports because of the uncertain macroeconomy. According to traders, they
