assessment of Asia LLDPE for the week ending May 31. CFR South Asia's marker
was down $20/mt from the previous week to $980/mt, due to a tepid market and
abundant supply. A trader from India
stated that the bearishness of the market has caused panic. "Everyone is
in a watch-and-wait mode. No one wants to make bulk deals," said a trader. One producer stated that buyers were nervous because they
lost money on their previous bookings. They had bought at higher prices, around
$1,030-$1,050/mt, CFR South Asia. Market
