LLDPE was largely down in the week to May 24 on weak demand and higher supplies
from major producers. Actively traded LLDPE futures on the Dalian Exchange
had settled Yuan 39/mt lower at Yuan 4,112/mt ex-warehouse May 24. CFR
South Asia marker down $30/mt week on week at $1,000/mt May 24, because of
higher supplies in the domestic market as domestic plants are running at almost
full capacities. Higher imports have also added to the supply
glut. India's LLDPE imports rose 130.4% to 49,348.45 mt in March, latest customs
data released May 15 showed, mainly due to higher domestic prices, industry
