Asian LLDPE market: Chinese market weakens due to bearish sentiment / Chinese market sentiment weakens / Prices in SE Asia are stable

The Chinese market for linear low density polyethylene declined in the week ending July 10, due to weakening sentiments on the market. LLDPE Film Grade CFR Fareast Asia was down $5/mt from the previous week to $970/mt by July 10. Sources attribute the decline to the bearish sentiments that were evident as futures declined throughout the week. On July 10, the most actively traded September Futures at the Dalian Commodity Exchange dropped Yuan 77/mt in one day to Yuan 838/mt ex-tank. Prices in Southeast Asia remained steady as fundamentals of demand and supply remained unchanged.
