European spot methanol prices continued to decline on April 18 amid healthier-than-expected product availability. T2 methanol FOB Rotterdam is now at Eur307,50/mt. This is a drop of Eur5/mt from the previous day. On April 18, at least 3,500 mt were traded, the first time since April 12 that volumes have been traded in the spot markets. One trader stated that the "supply appears to be fine and not as bad" as expected, adding that spot buying took place following a rapid increase in prices over the past few week.
