Trading was thin in the low density polyethylene market in theweek ended Sept. 11 as buyers kept to the sidelines.Prices softened slightly in Southeast Asia, with LDPE filmassessed down $10/mt week on week at $1150/mt Sept.11 amidweakening demand and more acceptance from suppliers forlower bids.In Vietnam, a major typhoon -- the country's worst storm indecades had hit the northern region on Sept.7, with the death tollreaching 141 as of Sept 11.Sources said that there have been serious damages to the HaiPhong port located in northern Vietnam. "The port is closed and customers cannot get cargo in or outyet," said a trader.In China, few offers were heard across the week and pricesremained rangebound.
