LDPE film grade up $5/mt week on week at $1,085/mt CFR Far East Asia. LDPE film grades are up $5/mt from last week at $1,085/mt CFA Far East Asia. In plant news, China’s Dushanzi Petrochemicals closed its crude distillation unit in Xinjiang, China on May 15, to perform maintenance for 45-55 days, a company source told May 16. The complex, which has been operational since 2009, can process 10 million mt. of Dushanzi Petrochemicals, a subsidiary owned by PetroChina, is located in China. In India, LDPE prices remained the same as last week due to stable demand andsupply. South Asian low-density polyethylene for general purpose was stable at $1,185/mt on May 21.
