Activity was limited in the Asian LDPE markets in the weekended April 30 following a major plastics conference held inShanghai April 23-26 and ahead of the upcoming Labor Dayholidays on May 1.In China, some restocking demand was seen, supportinghigher discussion levels in both the import and Chinesedomestic markets.Supply of LDPE was largely stable, a trader said, asoperating rates were unchanged week-on-week.In Southeast Asia, price negotiations were few as neartermdemand was limited.Most discussions were at the same levels as earlier,sources said, as demand and supply fundamentals within theregion remained unchanged.LDPE prices in India rose further this week, amid strongdemand and tighter supply.The domestic material availability is limited after a majorIndian producer went for planned shutdown, a trader said,adding that supply from international producers is alsotighter.There were higher fresh offers in the...
