Low inventories have pushed Asian
monoethylene glycol imports prices up to February 23. Sellers said that
operating rates were between 50%-55% because production margins remained low. The ICE April Brent crude oils futures contract dropped by
$1.29/b daily to $81.09/b at 4:30pm Singapore time (0830 GMT), Feb. 23. Kuwait's petrochemical firm Equate has set its March
monoethylene glycol India contract prices at $538/mt CFR India, down $26/mt
compared to February, according to an email from a source. After taking into account VAT, import duties, and dock fees,
traders claimed that domestic cargoes are lower than the import parity. For a parcel of 10,000-12,000 mt, freight from the US to
China was valued at $97/mt. This value was stable on February 23rd.
