The price of US benzene for delivery by the
end June was firmer on June 15 while prices for forward deliveries were stable,
which indicates tight supplies. Both June
DDP and FoB benzene were 9 cents higher than the previous day, at 310
cents/gal. This is in line with reported trade. This level
was reported for DDP benzene traded between June 15-30. DDP and FOB
prices for July benzene remained stable at 289 and 298 cents/gal. A
downstream trader stated that the lack of spot styrene will continue through
July despite falling benzene rates due to minimal production. DDP benzene
for July is currently priced at $865/mt. Styrene FOB
July is priced at $915/mt. On the day, ethanolbenzene was
