The price of Asian toluene was stable or higher on May 16, tracking gains in upstream markets. FOB Korea's marker was recalculated on May 16, and now considers the third and fourth half-month laycans. This is currently the second and first halfs of July. The Market on Close assessment did not include transparent offers or bids. The demand for gasoline blendstocks has fluctuated in recent weeks, but toluene was exported to the US at a higher rate in April, 54,664mt compared to 49,941mt in march, according to customs data on May 15. India imported 19,155 mt of South Korea in April. This is up from 6,325mt in march.
