Sources said that the Asian naphtha market
experienced a slight improvement in sentiment March 29, compared to the
previous day, due to H1 May cargo buying interest. Also, arbitrage inflows from
Europe to Asia were reduced by supply disruptions resulting from strikes at
French refineries. Spot
trading in H1 May delivery cargoes to Asia is coming to an end, and the market
will soon move into H2 mai trading. According
to a source, the reduced arbitrage volumes in March-April arrived have not had
an impact on the market's firming as they were balanced against lower demand
for naphtha due to scheduled maintenance at several Asian Steam Crackers in the
