Asian IsoMX: FOB Korea drops $30/mt Wow on closed arbitrage and lower crude / PX falls $23/mt WOW / China's stock continues to rise

Asian mixed isomer xylene, grade ASI, fell $30/mt from week to week but was stable on a day-to-day basis, reaching $769/mt at FOB Korea, on February 28. The prices fell week on week due to lower crude oil and the closure of the US arbitrage market for MX. Participants were also watching a tender by South Korean producer Hyundai Oilbank to sell cargoes that would be loading in the second quarter. Participants in the market who were close to the issue said that the sell-tender was awarded at a discount equal to about minus $8/mt compared to the average weekly Platts FOB Korean assessments for the loading month.
