Asian Isomer MX: FOB Korea increases $5/mt per week; PX/MX spreads reach over $100/mt / PX-MX spread widens $20/mt on week / East China MX stocks are down by around 65,000 mt

On Nov. 22, Asian mixed isomer xylene prices increased $5/mt in a week, to $722/mt at FOB Korea; $737/mt at CFR Taiwan; and $722/mt at CFR China. This was due to higher upstream values and paraxylene. PX prices increased $25/mt in one week, to $827.33/mt for Taiwan/China. The PX-MX price spread widened $20/mt to $105.33/mt by Nov. 22, as China prepared to reduce the value-added tax rebate on clean oil product exports. Domestic MX prices and the demand for them increased over the past week as China prepared to reduce the value-added taxes rebates on clean oil products exports effective December 1. On a parity basis, the domestic Chinese ex tank assessment increased by Yuan 105/mt in one week to Yuan 5,965/mt. This is about $709.70/mt. East China's MX stocks...
