Asian Iso MX: Weekly FOB Korea and CFR Taiwan prices fall on weaker margins / CFR China up $8.50/mt in a week / TDP margins rising on firm benzene / Spread between PX and MX reaches $100/mt

The price of mixed isomer-grade xylene in Asia was mixed for the week ending May 31. Both the FOB Korea (which fell) and CFR Taiwan (which rose) markers were down due to lower gasoline margins while CFR China saw a rise. Asian isomer MX was $940/mt at FOB Korea, and $954/mt CFR Taiwan. Both were down $8.50/mt from the previous week. CFR China rose $8.50/mt to $957/mt. FOB Korea prices were closer to the domestic Chinese prices. On May 31, the domestic China ex tank assessment increased by Yuan 8.33/mt from day to day, reaching Yuan 7,910/mt at an import parity of $955.60/mt.
