Asian Iso MX: Prices rising on firmer crude oil and paraxylene / PX-MX Spread shrinks $16.33/mt in a week / A new China PTA could provide support by 2025

On the back of higher prices upstream, and downstream, Asian isomer grade mixed xylenes increased $18/mt in one week to $719/mt from FOB Korea. They also rose $13/mt to $734/mt from CFR Taiwan on Sept. 20, and $13/mt to $734/mt from CFR China on Sept. 20. As September draws to a close, and October trading expires soon, bids for October loading cargoes in the second half rose. CFR China and FOB Taiwan fell by $4/mt per day, while CFR Korea fell by $1/mt. Domestic market prices also fell. Domestic China ex-tank prices were down Yuan 106.67/mt for the day, at Yuan 6,068.33/mt or $735.50/mt based on import parity. East China's October domestic price was Yuan 5,950/mt or $721/mt.
