Asian isomer-grade mixed xylene up $12.50/ mt at $731.50/mt FOB Korea, $746.50/mt CFR Taiwan and $6.50/ mt to $740.50/mt CFR China on the week, Sept. 27. This increase was driven by rising paraxylene prices and purified terephthalic acid futures in China, alongside anticipated run cuts by South Korean refiners in October-November. PX rose $27/mt on the week at $867.67/mt CFR Taiwan/ China, widening the PX-MX spread by $14.50/mt on the week to $136.17/mt. While PX strengthened, MX demand slowed in China, with domestic prices sluggish ahead of the upcoming week's long holiday. The domestic China ex-tank assessment was up Yuan 85/ mt at Yuan 5,936.67/mt, approximately $724.85/mt on an import parity basis.
