Asian Iso MX: Falling $28-$29/mt in a week amid bearish gasoline outlook / Gasoline margins tumble / PX-MX spread increases on week

Sources said that the price of Asian isomer grade mixed xylene fell during the week ending May 10, amid a more negative outlook for gasoline, whose margins have recently narrowed.Platt estimated isomer MX FOB Korea at $945/mt while CFR Taiwan was $961/mt. Both were down $29/mt from the week ending May 10. CFR China, also down $28/mt, was rated at $939/mt. The spread between RON 92 fuel FOB Singapore and front-month ICE Brent futures (currently July) fell more than 30%, from $12.33/barrel to $7.82/bon on May 9. This was the lowest level since October 31,2023 when it was $5.01/b. The July ICE Brent crude oil futures dipped by just 0.01 cent/b to $84.07/bat at 0830 GMT Asian close.
