Sources claim that the Asian methanol marks
remained unchanged on July 3, due to a limited and slow market. The supply is
also expected to be tight because of increased gas prices. Asian methanol was unchanged at $250/mt CIF
China on July 3 from June 30, below the selling indication of $252/mt CIF China
heard from a seller. East China domestically produced methanol has
been assessed at Yuan 2,170/mt (ex-tank) July 3. Discussions were heard around
Yuan 2,160-2.170/mt. According to sources, the CFR Southeast Asia
mark remained unchanged at $290/mt on July 3 as demand in the region remains
