The 26th of April saw a rise in the price of Asian toluene. Trading sources reported that spot availability was tight and demand was slow but steady. During the Market on Close process, there were no transparent offers or bids. Industry sources reported that inventories in China fell in the week ending April 26. East China port inventories fell by 4,400 mt on April 26 to 76700 mt. South China inventory was down by 1,700 mt in April 26 at 9,700mt. The prompt ex-tank East China supply was Yuan 15/mt more on the day, at Yuan 7,710/mt. This equates to $940.25/mt based on import parity.
