- Interest in exporting butadiene from South Korea- Europe's spot demand is
limited





In the week ending March 10, the European
butadiene market was stable as traders evaluated export opportunities to Asia
while domestic buyers showed little interest in spot parcels. The FOB Rotterdam butadiene spot rate was $850-870/mt
March 10th, unchanged from the previous week. The week
saw a slowdown in trading activity as domestic buyers continued their consumption
of contractual volumes despite soft demand on European derivative markets. Consumers
were heard sticking at or near minimum contractual obligations as demand for
downstream products such as adiponitrile and acrylonitrile-butadiene styrene
was weak, partly due to pressure from competitive imports. "We
