India Solvent: MX price drops $15/mt per week due to low demand / Domestic Discussions Continue Under Pressure / Low demand due to high inventory levels and poor PX chains: Sources

CFR India at $755/mt is down $15/mt from the previous week when compared to the FOB Korean marker of plus $90/mt. Discussions on domestic ex-Kandla continued to be pushed downwards, with Rupees 66 - 67/kg heard ex-Kandla or Mumbai. On the back of recent market conditions, Asian producers have cut production. The price for mixed solvent-grade xylene in Asia has increased by $1.62/mt on a weekly basis to $665/mt. As of November 15, the Kandla port reported that domestic ex-Kandla inventory levels continued to rise. Many sources also attributed the current weak market fundamentals to excessive inventory levels.
