India toluene price rises on the back of strong FOB Korea values / Inventory levels at Kandla were lower than expected at 30,000 mt on August 1 / Oct monthly ICE Brent Crude Futures at $80.03/b

On August 2, the Indian toluene was stable due to strong support from Asia. Toluene FOB Korea was $886/mt August 2, an increase of $6/mt. Toluene CFR India has been assessed at $983/mt. This is an increase of $6/mt from the previous day. One source confirmed that trades were concluded at Rupees 84/kg. A source, based on August 1 data, said that inventory levels at Kandla were around 30,000 mt. A second source said that inventory levels would rise at a slower rate. Normally, 20,000-23,000mt of South Korean imports are imported in a single month. However, in August only 15,000-16,000mt will be arriving based on the bookings made in July.
