India's trade discussions were muted due to
market participants remaining cautious about May-arrival cargoes. According to an importer,
prices are expected to be supported for the short-term before falling towards
the end April. According to the importer,
although methanol demand is strong, it was not clear how long prices could be
sustained given falling Chinese prices. The
importer stated that the sentiment was weak for the longer term. The CFR India methanol price was stable at $300.5/mt on the
day. India's domestic ex-tank talks were
steady to somewhat firm on the day, with offers around Rupee 27.25-27.5/kg. Some market participants claimed that import cargoes were
still stuck at ports due to custom clearance issues at Mumbai...
