There were few discussions on the methanol
markets in China and Southeast Asia May 15, due to a lackluster demand for
methanol and a short supply. CFR China stable since May 12, at
$265/mt, May 15, and CFR Southeast Asia constant over the same time period at
$336/mt. The trade discussions in India were muted at the
beginning of the week as only a few participants took part. A cargo
from the Middle East, arriving in June, weighing around 10,000 mt, was offered
at $310/mt F.O.B. India. India ex-tank talks were stable on
May 15, with Mumbai offers at Rupee 26,40/kg, and Kandla at Rupee 26,25/kg. Malaysian
