ICE Brent futures for June fall by 6 cents/b / Polypropylene-propylene spread widens $5/mt

On April 25, the Asian propylene markets were stable, with little spot trading and no change in indications. On April 25, propylene prices in Shandong, east China, and other regions rose by Yuan 50/mt or Yuan 100/mt. The recent fluctuations in the Chinese market have not yet boosted sentiments or prices for imported dollar-denominated material. Market participants are waiting and watching to see what happens. One Chinese trader said that the price increase was due to restocking ahead of Labor Day, May 1-5. The June ICE Brent crude futures contract at 4:30 pm Singapore time (830 GMT) was 6 cents/b lower than the previous Asian closing price of $88.38/lb.
