A lack of clarity about the direction of prices and a weak trading interest led to a stable price for Asian propylene on May 23, despite slashed domestic Shandong propylene. Unstable demand has prevented price increases from taking place, and producers have shown no sign of reducing their offers. This has led to a deadlock, according to a Chinese trader. On May 23, the Shandong propylene was priced at Yuan 6,665/mt, down Yuan 200/mt since May 21.
