On June 3, the FOB Korea toluene price increased by $3/mt per day, reaching $896/mt. China's markers mirrored the trend of falling crude oil prices. During the Market on Close assessment between 4:00 pm to 4:30 pm Singapore time, H1 July cargoes reached up to $915/mt FOB Korea. Due to the high benzene price, toluene diproportionation units (TDP) can run at a good profit margin. Traders said that Korean producers are looking to purchase toluene for shipment in July. A source said that the cargo could be from China or Unv1. A source said that toluene should be more expensive due to the high price of benzene and increased demand.
