Asian HDPE Recycled: / Buyers are in a wait-and-watch mode / Supply is easing, but overall tight

In Asia, the market for recycled high density polyethylene was stable during the week ending Dec. 4, despite unchanged fundamentals in terms of demand and supply. The recycled high density polyethylene film was stable for the week, at $745/mt FOM Southeast Asia. Recycled HDPE black blowmoldings pellets were also stable for the week, at $565/mt FOM Southeast Asia. Sources said that the demand remained weak and trading activity was starting to slow due to the end-of-year season as well geopolitical uncertainty. The market is slow because of poor sentiment. A trader said that many Southeast Asian recyclers had not yet received their import licenses (to import scrap material) or hadn't extended their existing license.
