high density polyethylene prices were largely mixed in the week to March 22,
with China prices holding steady on thin discussions while Southeast Asia fell
as manufacturing demand slowed at the onset of Ramadan. Discussions were few in
India due to the financial year closing, traders said. Producers had not been
able to pass on rising costs in upstream due to poor domestic and regional
buying, a supply glut, rising global interest rates and off-season demand
levels keeping trade levels thin. In Southeast Asia, poor increases in costs of
living have dented demand for end-product. Buying has been largely done on a
