the week ending March 8, Asian high density polyethylene prices were mixed. Some
excess supply was evident in India as traders offered more cargoes to the
market to close the financial year with a cash-rich position. Dutiable
unimodal high density filmgrade polyethylene up to $30/mt week-on-week at
$1,030/mt CFR Far East Asia February 8. According to a source at Siam
Cement Group, Long Son Petrochemical's Vung Tau polyolefin units are expected
to begin in the second quarter. The polyolefin complex includes a
450,000mt/year high-density unit, a 500,000mt/year linearly low density unit,
and a 400,000mt/year mt/year mt/year mt/year phenol unit. Producers said
