of Asian high density polyethylene fell largely in the week ending April 5.
This was due to slow Ramadan manufacturing demand. Traders said that
people aren't willing to stockpile. Sources expected more US exports from
Asia, although there could be delays due to the coming hurricane
season. An analyst in China stated that the US was responsible for
approximately 14% of China’s imports. As more Middle East supplies are expected
to arrive after the turnaround season, the outlook was grim. Demand was
slow because of Ramadan in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and
China. India received offers of HDPE in the range of $1,040-$1,060/mt CFR
South Asia. Sources don't anticipate that offers will fall below these
