There was a softer mood in Asia's naphtha
market on March 15, with one spot tender concluded at lower premiums, sources
said. Hanwha Total Energies, South Korea, was reported to have purchased 25,000
mt of open-specified naphtha for H2April delivery at a premium of $15-20/mt to
the CFR Mean of Japan naphtha assessment. Comparatively, the company bought 25,000 mt
open-specification naphtha for H1 April delivery at an increase of $142.63/mt
to $289.75/mt to the Mean of Japan naphtha assessment, CFR. It was at
$307/mt on Sept. 19, 2022.
