The Asian glycols markets ended lower in the week to Nov. 15,with participants citing weakening demand for polyester and fallsin the crude oil market.The key polyester market was entering its lull season,some sources said, with demand starting to slow in the week.Some textile plants had also lowered operating rates slightly,contributing to the slower trade in the week.Inventory levels of polyester were estimated at around 20days' worth, but several sources expected this to grow in comingweeks as manufacturing activities would taper at year-end.This is likely to negatively impact monoethylene glycol tradein the following month as polyester producers were unlikelyto continue stocking up on feedstock when plant operationseventuallylowered.Operating rates at polyester facilities were slightly lower at92% in the week, according to a producer.In the crude oil markets, January ICE Brent futures fell$3.34/b...
