Gasoline margins tumble PX-MX / Spread Widens Week

Sources said that Asian prices for isomer-graded mixed xylene fell during the week of May 10, due to a more negative outlook on gasoline, whose margins have been narrowing recently. Platt has assessed isomer MX FOB Korea, CFR Unv1 and both at $945/mt - down $29/mt from the week of May 10. Commodity Insights' data shows that the spread between RON 92 fuel FOB Singapore and ICE Brent crude futures for the current month of July fell by more than 30%, from $12.33/barrel to $7.82/b.
