Asian toluene was mixed on June 15. Spot talks were few despite the tight supply
from producers in Northeast Asia. Up to H1 July, more South
Korea-origin loads were heard headed to the US. Industry
sources stated that demand for solvents in Southeast Asia was slow due to the
typhoons and monsoons season in South Asia. Trading
sources reported that there was a preliminary offer for 5,000 mt of July
loading. The price ranged between $880 and $890/mt, FOB China. There were
no reported trades. CFR China was valued at $850/mt in line with a
firmer market for China's ex-tanks. East China
prompt ex-tanks supplied Yuan 50/mt per day at Yuan 7,090/mt. This equates to
