Asian MTBE is down $11.14/mt on a
day-to-day basis at $987.71/mt, FOB Singapore, April 19, due to the drop in
Brent prices of $1.06/b. A
Singapore trader said that the demand for MTBE in the region was strong due to
the high gasoline blending demand. The RON 92-naphtha and RON95-RON 92 are
still at high levels. The RON 92 - naphtha
was $25.15/b on April 19, and the RON 95 - RON 92 was $4.61/b. Another trader stated that the arbitrage window between
China and Singapore is closed. Offers were made around $1,010-$1,020/mt of
5,000 mt H2 May loading. This was not deemed economical for trade. A Chinese producer reported that the Chinese domestic market
was stable this week, with prices around Yuan 7,700/mt...
