The Asian toluene price was higher on May
29, due to stronger crude oil and upstream naphtha. Market On Close did not
hear any firm bids or offer. A toluene
shipment from early June was traded at FOB flat. Industry sources reported that the cargo, which was 5,000 mt
of 94% pure toluene from South Korea, was bound for Japan. Details were not clear, but market sources said they were in
discussions for additional shipments to the US Gulf Coast. Sources said that South Korea origin cargoes loaded H2 June
toH1 July could be traded for as little as $830/mt up to $875/mt. There were no spot trades heard on May 29, as Korea was out
