Asian isomer MX was up 3.50/mt to the CFR
China marker, and up 9.25/mt to the FOB Korea markers and CFR Unv1 markers. Asian isomer MX was
$993.25/mt FOB Korea at $1,015.25-1,055.50/mt. CFR Unv1 on March 28 at $983-1000/mt.
CFR China at $983-1003/mt. The market
feedback was consistent throughout the day, with a source attributing firmness
in isomer-MX markets to tightness and expectation that cargoes will soon be
moving to the US for gasoline blending purposes. The PX price rose $3.83/mt to $1,101/mt CFRUnv1/China. PX-MX spread was $107.75/mt based on CFR Unv1/China markers
and FOB Korea markers. Crude futures
continued to rise, with May ICE Brent crude futures up sharply at $78.53/b at
4:30pm Singapore time.
