at $230-$247/mt





Asian benzene markets saw little selling
interest as participants observed slow purchasing activity. On papers
derivatives, more activities were also observed. May benzene paper was heard trading at
$925/mt, and April was later sealed at $930/mt. The offer
and bid for benzene naphtha papers seemed to be narrowing, as April benzene
price was heard at $230-$247/mt. Discussions about Floating base
physical cargoes appeared weak and thin. For CFR
China Caojing April arrival, benzene cargo, bid was heard at plus $10-15/mt
to April Weekly Mean of Korea base price. CPC Corp.
had bought two cargoes at premium prices in the low $20s/mt range to the April
Weekly Mean of FOB Korea, CFR Kaohsiung. Participants also expected that demand
would slowly return as there is a summer driving season ahead...
