FOB Korea discussion moves to July and August laycans / Low inventory in China supports prices at home: trader

On May 23, Asian benzene fell on weaker upstream markets. The Asian benzene price fell $4/mt in the session to $1,052/mt at FOB Korea on May 23. Meanwhile, the C+F Japan mark for naphtha dropped $5/mt during the same period. Data showed that the front-month ICE Brent Futures dropped 98 cents/b to $81.96/b at the Asian close. The FOB Korea spot markets were dominated by discussions about the laycans for July and August. The second-half of June laycan was not the subject of any firm offers or bids, but July laycan was the one that received the most attention.
